Young adult literature has changed over the years, for the better. Writers have remembered their youth and the stories they stood out for them. They also look to what they enjoy reading and the stories and genres they find inspiring. Mixing this together and finding a fuzion, the young adult novels today hold true to their roots and look toward a bright future. The characters live larger than life in a different life world facing the same problem, milestones, wants and desires their readers face.
Red Lizard doesn’t hold to a particular genre. Instead, it holds to the people reading. Those readers want characters they can connect with, root for, despise, feel they know because they are so well written and enjoyable.
